DIG2PROD RADIO
Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Dig2Prod Radio is a workplace voice messaging app published by Mistbits. It connects authorised users to their organisation's Dig2Prod mine workspace. This policy covers the Android app with package name com.dig2prod.radio and its supporting Dig2Prod services.
For privacy questions, contact michael@dig2prod.com. Your organisation manages your account access and the people who can access its mine workspace.
Information the service processes
- Account information: your name, work email, account identifier, mine membership and permissions. Your login credentials are sent over HTTPS to authenticate you. The app keeps its session credentials in Android's protected credential storage.
- Voice messages: audio you choose to record and send, its sender and recipients, channel, priority, duration and timestamps. Delivery, playback, acknowledgement and emergency-response records support the conversation history.
- Profile photos: an image you choose to take or select for your profile. The server converts it to a sanitised JPEG. Your photo and display name are visible to authorised teammates in your mine.
- Optional notifications: when you enable notifications, an app installation identifier and Firebase Cloud Messaging token are registered against your account session and mine. Notification payloads contain routing identifiers and priority, not your voice recording or message content.
- Service and security information: connection information needed to serve network requests, online radio presence, account security events and activity records needed to operate the service. Google Firebase also processes installation identifiers and app/device metadata for notification delivery and service operation.
Radio does not request your phone's location, address book, SMS or call history. It contains no advertising SDK. Firebase Analytics collection is disabled.
How information is used and who can access it
Information is used to sign you in, enforce mine permissions, route and play messages, show history and receipts, provide profile photos and optional notifications, and operate and secure the service.
Messages and receipts are available to their authorised recipients and dispatch users as permitted by the mine's access rules. Your organisation's authorised administrators manage membership and operational records. Dig2Prod administrators may access information to operate and support the service.
DigitalOcean hosts the operational service and database. Google Firebase provides optional Android push notifications. These providers process data to deliver their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law. Radio does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Permissions and your choices
Microphone access is requested for recording messages. Recording is started by your action and is not supported in the background. You can use listening features without granting microphone access. Profile photos are optional, and the app accesses images you select through the system picker or camera. You can replace or remove your photo.
You can enable or disable notifications in Your radio → Notifications and in Android settings. Signing out clears the local notification routing and deletes the Firebase messaging token. Listening and conversation mute settings control alerts. Notifications are best effort; they are not a guaranteed emergency delivery service.
Storage, security and retention
App communications use HTTPS. Access to mine data requires an authenticated account and appropriate permissions. Audio is protected in transit but is not end-to-end encrypted: the server processes it for delivery and authorised playback. Data is processed by the service and its providers, including hosting outside your home country.
The service's default retention is 90 days for ordinary radio messages and at least 365 days for emergency messages. A deployment can configure a longer retention period, and saved clips can retain their audio. Message cleanup removes associated receipts and audio that is no longer referenced. Account, membership and security audit records are retained while needed to administer the service, preserve operational accountability or meet legal requirements.
Unsent recordings and pending confirmations are stored on your phone and scoped to your account and mine. You can discard unsent recordings. Signing out revokes the session; it does not erase messages already delivered to the mine or their operational records.
Request access, correction or deletion
Accounts are provided through your organisation; Radio does not offer public self-registration. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account or personal data, contact michael@dig2prod.com using your work email. Include your mine name and the data concerned. Do not send your password.
We will verify the request and coordinate with your organisation. We will explain any records that must be retained for security, operational accountability or legal obligations. Suspending access is different from deleting personal data. You can remove your profile photo directly in the app.
Workplace use and policy changes
Radio is intended for adult workplace users and is not directed at children. Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated date. Contact us if you need clarification about your organisation's use of the service.
